Flex-N-Gate Michigan, LLC Quality Manager in Warren, Michigan

Quality Manager, Flex-N-Gate Michigan, LLC, Troy, MI. Evaluate and develop techniques for quality control and reliability. Work with Process Engineers to implement engineering changes to improve overall processes. Ensure production process is delivering a quality product within given specifications. Apply understanding of metal stamping process, including Dies, Press, and checking fixture backgrounds. Work with Automation tooling and troubleshoot quality. Maintain compliance with all company guidelines, government regulations, and International Quality Standards. Perform troubleshooting of quality problems. Serve as primary interface with customer. Assist manufacturing facilities with on-time product launch. Work with project stakeholder to address critical issues. Provide technical documentation to customer. Oversee the engineering and design of metal and plastic parts, physical tooling, and assembly of components to create the final product. Ensure process is robust and meets the engineering tolerances requirements specified by customers. Assess the final assembled product and sub-components for any necessary engineering changes or improvements to ensure proficiency and meet customer specifications. Evaluate engineering changes or part design received from the customer to determine feasibility and potential implications on the final product.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Engineering (any), or a related field plus five (5) years of related work experience.

In the alternative, the employer will accept seven (7) years of related work experience.

Must have five (5) years of experience with/in:

  • Implementing technical quality control procedures and maintaining IATF 16949 standards at a facility;
  • Running CMM/Scanning to inspect quality and measurement of the product;
  • Utilizing platforms and technologies like E-Data Now and E-Supplier to manage manufacturing process;
  • Part Sequencing process and Injection Molding, including molds and plastic defects;
  • Spot welding, projection welding, mig and Sonic welding criteria, and metal weld destruct process;
  • Providing guidelines for paint process in regard to plastic molded parts;
  • Manufacturing environment and injection molding;
  • Managing team of quality engineers; and
  • Providing technical guidance on rework/repair processes.
