What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health
Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.
Accountabilities:
This role will have accountability for functionally leading a team responsible for the delivery of Procure To Pay requirements (SAP MM/IM) integrated with SAP Order Fulfillment (SAP SD/LE)
SME functionally the Procure To Pay process team for all implementation requirements in CHII
Plan out processes and procedures to achieve specific goals including working with various leaders and stake holders to achieve project success
Will be responsible for providing production support capabilities handling defects and enhancements
Participate in conversations with business to understand requirements and work with leads to identify/design solution
Complies and enforces the adoption of Solution Manager, Charm Management, JIRA, and
other standard tools
Identify gaps between requirements and current solutions and develop options and estimates for closing the gaps.
Able to work on medium to complex business requirements and convert functional specifications into test scenarios and test scripts
Influence key stakeholders and business partners
Effectively communicate with IT partners and business stakeholders
Collaborate with onsite and offshore teams to manage the execution of Software Delivery deliverables
Demonstrate excellent oral and written communications, presentation skills, meeting facilitation, negotiation, decision making, and problem-solving skills to deliver solutions
Ability to define work processes and manage team members in successful implementation and ongoing execution
Provide well-developed domain & enterprise leadership and strategic-thinking skills
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience, preferred
More than 8 years of overall SAP experience and 5+ years’ relevant experience spanning across SAP MM, SAP SD & SAP LE
SAP certification in either Procure To Pay OR Supply Chain module is required
Knowledge of FICO module, Supply Planning and integration with other modules in ECC is a plus
Hands-on SAP ERP (ECC) skills, with demonstrated experience in Procure To Pay, Sales and Distribution and Logistics Execution modules required
SAP MM/LE Configuration – Plant/STO, delivery, Shipping and Transportation, Handling unit Management
Strong knowledge on integration between SAP SD and associated modules (MM/LE/Planning)
SAP SD Configuration – Sales Document types, Item Categories, Output determination, Copy Control, Schedule line categories, Available to Promise, IDOC/XML/File integration
Special Concept Such Free Goods, Bill of Materials, Material Determination.
Master Data (CMIR/Customer Master/Material master/Pricing master).
Good understanding on ABAP and debugging
Very good high-level understanding in integration technologies such as SAP PO, APIGEE etc.
Strong integration skills with SAP modules SD, MM, FI, and external ERP systems.
Experience in implementing SAP in large scale implementations.
Ability to define work processes and lead team members in successful implementation and ongoing execution preferred
Proven ability to develop individuals and teams
Highly desired
Experience collaborating in global/geographically diverse teams
Experience in integration between SAP systems and SAP to non-SAP systems (EDI, middleware, APIGEE/GCP, J2EE etc.)
