Position Summary

We are looking for a Category Development Analyst for Grocery Channel for our Nestlé Purina PetCare Baltics team. In this position You will play a crucial role by providing deep analyses of category and channel performance with insights and recommendations for Sales team and will support Key Account Managers developing Purina business in Grocery Channel across Baltic countries.

A day in the life of a Category Development Analyst for Grocery Channel:

  • Analyzing Distribution, Placement and Pricing data of the Category to deliver insights and recommendations for Sales to ensure Purina portfolio competitiveness in Grocery channel

  • Supporting Key Account Managers with data, analyzing, insights, and recommendations in preparation for Category assortment reviews

  • Evaluating the effectiveness of trade activities through pre and post-evaluations, overviewing insights and making recommendations

  • Preparing merchandising guidelines

  • Actively participating in Integrated Commercial Planning (ICP) process

  • Participating in preparation and implementation of Category development projects with Key customers

  • Participating in Customer meetings with Sales to present Category insights and development activities

  • Collaborate closely with local cross functional team (Sales, Category Management, Marketing, Business Controlling, Demand Planning etc.)

  • A record of accomplishment of successfully completing projects and strong analytical skills to gather valuable insights and use them effectively

  • A genuine interest in working with data. You should be comfortable analyzing numbers and drawing meaningful conclusions from them.

  • Structured thinking to make the best decisions and offer solutions

  • Great planning skills and task prioritization

  • Effective communication skills and ability to clearly present insights to internal and external stakeholders

  • Initiative-taking team-player with fast learning abilities

  • You are proficient in both written and spoken English language.

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in FMCG (Sales, trade, marketing, finance, or other retail experience would be considered an advantage)
