Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a meticulous and proactive Facilities Assistant in Sunnyvale, California. As a part of our team, you will play an instrumental role in the efficient management of our facilities, ensuring a safe, organized, and well-maintained work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the organization and coordination of repairs and maintenance for the building to ensure a safe and functional workspace.

• Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring high-quality services such as cleaning, landscaping, and security.

• Ensure adherence to safety regulations, conduct regular inspections, and plan for emergencies to guarantee a safe work environment.

• Manage office space effectively, coordinating moves and changes as required.

• Oversee inventory management, ensuring the availability of necessary supplies and equipment.

• Implement and maintain security measures, responding to incidents promptly and effectively.

• Help manage the facilities budget, identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities.

• Act as a point of contact for facility-related issues, coordinating with various departments as needed. Requirements • Demonstrable experience as a Facilities Assistant or similar role

• Proficiency in facilities management and planning

• Experience coordinating facilities tasks and ensuring timely completion

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a facilities context

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues

• Flexibility to respond to facility emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances

• Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office applications

• High school diploma or equivalent; further training in facilities management or relevant field will be a plus
