Period of Performance : Base year, beginning May/June 2024, plus Four 1-year options. 

Job Description: SimIS is seeking a Test Planner with expertise in Modeling and Simulation (M&S) to support the Joint Test and Evaluation (JT&E) Program Office. The JT&E program brings two or more military services together to provide improvements in the joint interoperability of service systems, technical and operational concepts, and system performance; validated testing methodologies; and the validation of models, simulations, and test beds. The JT&E Program achieves this objective by evaluating new concepts and addressing needs and issues in joint military environments.

Duty Requirements:

• Executing models and simulations to aid in developing and testing TTP through Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) networks as part of a Joint Live, Virtual, and Constructive (JLVC) environment.

• Providing LVC architecture services in support of Combatant Command (CCMD) exercises.

• Developing M&S requirements to meet test event objectives in an LVC environment

• Observing and analyzing test and evaluation operations to ensure conformity with military doctrines, policies, and procedures.

• Providing consultation concerning M&S techniques for the design, development, and planning of M&S use and integration into JT&E projects.

• Conducting research and coordination, develops program test plans and detailed test plans.

• Identifying and evaluating commercial and Government-owned simulations to services JT&E project testing, advises and assists in developing the M&S verification, validation, and accreditation planning activities.

• Draft and present technical papers and briefings.

    Experience Required:

• Requires advanced knowledge and in-depth experience in models and simulations to aid in developing and testing TTP through Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) networks as part of a Joint Live, Virtual, and Constructive (JLVC) environment.

• Experience with recent and relevant LVC architecture servicing the CCMD exercises.

• Experience operating or testing in an LVC environment and developing M&S services requirements to meet test event objectives.

• Experience observing and analyzing test and evaluation operations to ensure conformity with military doctrines, policies, and procedures.
