Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity with a growing company located in Stillwater, Minnesota. The role involves providing legal guidance and counsel in strategic decision making and operations within the organization. The role requires extensive knowledge and expertise in commercial litigation, commercial contracts, and corporate transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice on a broad range of corporate issues such as corporate governance and business policy

• Oversee the legal aspects of commercial transactions and regulatory compliance

• Develop company policy and position on legal issues

• Research, anticipate and guard the company against legal risks

• Guide management on regulatory and compliance issues to ensure compliance with legal regulations

• Draft, negotiate and review corporate legal agreements to ensure the company’s full legal rights

• Deal with complex, significant matters that cut across legal and related areas

• Maintain knowledge of the organization’s operations and legal documents

• Conduct legal analysis and research on various legal matters

• Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of legal experience, including litigation experience.

• Must possess a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

• Must be admitted to practice in Minnesota.

• Should have strong expertise in Commercial Litigation, Commercial Contracts, and Corporate Transactions.

• Should have experience advising senior leadership on legal risks associated with business operations.

• Must have excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successfully negotiating complex legal agreements.

• Should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills..

• Should have a strong ethical framework and professional integrity.
