SelectTech has experienced tremendous growth in its airworthy roll-on roll-off transportation systems and is seeking a, Airworthiness Engineer to join a mission focused team. The Airworthiness Engineer will be a key technical position creating, contributing ,and ensuring success of airworthiness certification projects within SelectTech. This position will own, support, and actively contribute to airworthiness aspects of current and future design certification and validation projects. This position requires a driven and professional individual that is focused on excellence in execution of airworthiness projects. Additionally, this position will be instrumental in continuing to build the airworthiness certification capabilities within SelectTech. Essential Functions Plan and accomplish highly complex and challenging projects across multiple aircraft systems, disciplines, and program phases. Build professional relationships with the military customer and the military airworthiness authority through direct interaction on significant technical matters which often require coordination between internal and external organizations. Evaluate standard qualification rules and guidance material to assist Integrated Product Teams in developing the Qualification/Certification Basis, Means of Compliance, Subsystem/System Level Airworthiness Qualification Specifications, and other qualification/certification activities. Manage and maintain military qualification/certification airworthiness artifacts and deliver airworthiness contract deliverables in accordance with program requirements throughout the product life cycle. Interpret requirements and advise company personnel in matters related to airworthiness, certification, and policy interpretation Coordinate certification project activities as required, including but not limited to meetings, briefings, and presentations to company management, regulatory authorities, suppliers/partners, and professional organizations Contribute to creation and review of certification documents and data - including but not limited to Master Compliance Checklists, certification plans and reports, Issue Papers, accomplishment summaries, manuals, Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, airworthiness applications, etc. Compile certification data packages and manage their delivery to regulatory authorities to support Type Certification and validation projects Assist with maintenance of certification project records, engineering files, and company data Develop and manage airworthiness processes, tools, standards, and associated training materials across the company Develop and manage company designee management processes and plans Continuously improve airworthiness department processes, tools, and standards Assist in building and maintaining professional relationships with regulatory authorities, suppliers, and company departments through direct interaction on significant technical and regulatory matters often requiring coordination between organizations Contribute to internal familiarization and training, mentorship, and coaching on aspects of certification, airworthiness, and associated processes and expectations, as required Support project management activities related to airworthiness and certification projects Identify and support mitigation of safety and program risks, issues, and opportunities related to airworthiness Other Duties: Please note this job description is not intended to be a complete or exclusive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
