Job Description:

• Job responsibilities

• Leading product and technology development programs related to structural bonding solutions aligned to business portfolio strategy and industry needs.

• Collaborating with research teams from Global division/business group Labs, Corporate Research Labs and cross function teams to ensure a leadership position in the markets we serve from both performance and sustainability perspective.

• Create and protect 3Mintellectual property through the filing of new patent applications and / or development of trade secrets.

• Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry from an accredited university

• Minimum of five (5) years of combined experience working in product, process and / or technology development with common adhesive systems (e.g. acrylic, epoxy, urethane, light curing, pressure sensitive and/or bonding film)

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in product development with structural bonding systems.

• Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Rich experience with new product, process and/or technology scale-up and deployment of new technologies.

• Proven experience designing new adhesive systems linking customer needs to product requirements in a private or public environment.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including communicating with colleagues around the globe as well as manufacturing counterparts.

• Demonstrated work related leadership ability, collaboration, accomplishments and mentoring.

• Able to identify technical uncertainties, propose resolving hypothesis and build plans to verify.

• Passion and curiosity to address industry challenges.

• Self-motivated with a strong growth mindset.
