Disney Streaming’s Media Engineering team is seeking a Sr. Technical Project Manager for the Quality, Targeting & Experience team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for partnering with the engineering director to ensure the overall success of our QTE organization and its teams. This includes directly leading some of our most visible and key projects end to end across teams, while also creating and/or managing the processes so that we can effectively intake, prioritize, and deliver work across teams within and outside of this organization. You will partner closely with Engineering and Product Management to translate product and technical ideas into engineering requirements, while collaborating with all impacted teams and external partners to ensure a successful launch of the product or feature.

Responsibilities

  • Own execution for a program or high-profile features and products, driving roadmap, specifications, and delivery

  • Identify, assess and mitigate risks, provide visibility to management, anticipate and make trade-offs balancing the business needs versus constraints

  • Scope projects into manageable chunks that enable us to quickly and efficiently release iterative products

  • Lead team Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming), and provide Agile guidance for areas and ways to improve

  • Collaborate with the engineering teams and program managers to evolve and lead the overall fleet roadmap across included teams, identifying necessary investments and dependencies to support execution and delivery.

  • Act as main communication liaison with disparate internal stakeholders and external partners across a variety of time zones and locales

  • Dig in and understand the overall architecture and distinct components of a project, applying this knowledge to more effectively plan and deliver your projects

  • Collaborate with other TPMs within the organization to continuously improve our program management process, communication protocols, and operational procedures related to effective, on-time and to-scope software delivery

What to Bring

  • 5+ years of Technical Project Management experience

  • Experience in shipping multiple feature or products simultaneously, ideally in an Agile environment

  • Ability to dive into technical details, understanding and providing input on overall technical designs

  • Ability to breakdown a large and complex project into distinct and incremental deliverables

  • Eagerness to continuously seek feedback around how we work and iterate as such

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and geographically dispersed environment

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with a clear attention to detail

The hiring range for this position in CA is $129,900.00 to $174,100.00 per year and in NY is $129,900.00 to $174,100.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
