Job Brief

We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management for our subsidiary in Chile. This role involves accounting, financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies, regulatory and procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Proven working experience as Financial Controller

• Minimum of 3+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience

• Degree in accounting, CPA preferred.

• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end and year-end close process.

• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, payroll, banking, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition

• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances, work with the business to track financial performance and provide financial information, forecasting and analysis to help guide decision making and set strategy

• Prepare and deliver timely monthly financial statements

• Prepare month-end and year-end close process

• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

• Manage and comply with Chilean government regulations and tax filings

• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

• Ensure a strong accounting and operational control environment

• Work with external and internal auditors and assist with year-end audit preparations and financial statements.

• Manage working capital by tracking transactions with visual daily management

• Directly manage a team of 4 associates
