Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$40.421 - $52.157 - $63.892

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.

What You Will Do

Provides a critical role to meet the Internal Audit mission to provide internal Sharp HealthCare customers, including all levels of operating unit and senior management, and the Board Audit Committee, with an independent assessment of the quality of the organization's internal controls and business processes, as well as objective and innovative recommendations and suggestions for continuous improvement. Responsible for planning and executing assigned audits to independently review and appraise the organizational activities of Sharp HealthCare.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college, preferably with an Accounting major.

  • 2 Years healthcare finance or operations, accounting or auditing at a large public accounting firm and/or in an internal audit department.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare experience.

Essential Functions

  • AuditsEvaluate established System standards to assess adequacy of internal controls.Develop appropriate and complete audit findings and recommendations; synthesize and assess cross-functional impact to identify root cause, and to adequately support reported conditions and findings.

  • Communicates audit resultsDevelop appropriate audit findings and recommendations to be reported to auditees and their managers through the audit reporting and feedback process.

  • Community involvementParticipate in professional societies.

  • Conducts engagement planningPrepare or revise detailed audit programs for use in audit planning and in the accomplishment of audit objectives.

  • Customer serviceIdentify opportunities for Quality Improvement in the products/services provided to both internal and external customers of the Sharp System

  • ProductivityMeet time budgets and task due dates, communicate and report deviations from estimate.Communicate work status and future needs to Internal Audit departmental management.

  • Professional competencyKeep current with trends and developments in the profession, industry and related fields of expertise.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing, COSO internal controls concepts, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), health care regulations, health care operations, contemporary internal audit practices, accounting, and information systems.

  • Communication and relationship skills effective at staff and executive levels of the organization.
