Description

Robert Half is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to manage financial accounting primarily using accrual basis for a Raleigh based company. . You will generate financial statements and variance analysis while researching and analyzing specific information and trends. This includes recording expenses, verifying invoices, and interacting with other departments.

Responsibilities:

Analyze, interpret, and apply financial information.

Determine monthly revenue and expense accruals based on trend analysis.

Review the coding of expenses for accuracy and research discrepancies.

Perform revenue and expense variance analysis, comparing historical, forecasted, and actual results.

Provide recovery analysis to optimize the recoverability of costs.

Prepare financial entries, reconciliations, and reports.

Other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements:

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to analyze large amounts of financial data.

Accounting experience with knowledge of General Ledger.

Ability to handle complex calculations and prioritize multiple tasks.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience interpreting lease contracts and related financial data.

Education/Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required with at least 2+ years of experience in an accounting role.
