Are you outspoken, energetic and confident, then this may be the place for you. We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Technician. The Quality Assurance Tech performs various functions and special assignments to assist the Quality Assurance Department in the administration of department functions for the protection and production of high quality and food safe products.

Shift: Continental Schedule (3 days on, 3 days off, 4 days on, 4 days off) Time: 4:00 am - 4:00 pm (12 hour shifts)

Responsibilities

What to Expect/Essential Functions:

  • Along with QA Manager and QA Lead, maintains audit documentation pertaining to QA

  • Manage assigned program manuals (including updating documentation, conducting training, and daily audits, foreign material events)

  • Monitor and verify HACCP activities

  • Monitor and verify all production specification checks and reports non conformance to Production Supervisors

  • Ensure that all aspects of operation meet all GMP'S, Personal and Food Safety Rules

  • Conduct and document daily audits/quality checks of the production area. Areas outside of normal operation are reported back to the QA manager or Production Manager

  • Recommend to QA manager and Plant Manager product holds if contaminants are discovered

  • Assist in the investigation of and follow thru in the customer complaint process

  • Conduct in-house facility inspections

  • Participate in all 3rd party audits (i.e., AIB, Regulatory, Customer, etc.)

  • Assist in maintaining supplier documentation, ingredient specifications and acquiring necessary paperwork for test ingredients

  • Analyze, monitor and report deviations regarding production process controls in the QA Database

  • Conduct and document daily audits/quality checks of the production area.

  • Other job duties assigned as business dictates

The essential functions of this role include:

  • working in a smoke free environment

  • wearing steel toe shoes

  • working in a non-temperature controlled environment

  • standing for 12 hours at one time
