Emerson Lead Manufacturing Engineer-Automation in Nanjing, China

Job Summary

In this role, you will be a core member of a team dedicated to creating World Class manufacturing processes for flow meters to provide a Best-in-Class experience for our customers. You’re responsible for developing and supporting manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and process control to produce high quality products in a Lean Manufacturing operation.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

-In charge of equipment maintenance and solving. Lead operators or technicians to implement preventative maintenance activities.

  • Schedule and implement preventive maintenance of core operations daily.

  • Identify machine & equipment needs and recommend solutions to management

  • continuous reduce unplanned equipment shutdown

-In charge of product quality by training operators, crafting and maintaining process documents. In charge of Non-conformance disposition and corrective action. Lead continuous process improvement to improve quality level and customer happiness.

  • Develop and ensure that manufacturing documentation, routines are accurate and maintained

  • Review and implement ECO/TDA/ADR for accuracy and completeness.

  • Provide technical support in operator training.

  • Develop new process and optimize the current process to improve productivity and reduce cost

  • Assist new process, new product launch and process verification. Work with US engineering department to ensure smooth product transfer.

  • Use LEAN concepts and Six Sigma tool to improve workload, working environment, production process:

  • Continually evaluate and improve the flow of materials and products through manufacturing processes

  • Continually review key process indicators for potential improvement.

  • Identify and justify capital equipment that will contribute to process improvements, cost reductions, and variation elimination.

  • Take other job assignments allocated by leaders.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • 5+ years working experiences in related engineering area, foreign company working experience is preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, majored in related engineering, chemical field.

  • Industrial control background, good at PLC programming

  • Knowledge of sophisticated manufacturing engineering tools, safety & environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, engineering application software (eg. Autocad / ProE/ UG) is preferred.

  • Fluent written and oral communications skills in both English and Chinese.
