Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with expertise in Sage and NetSuite to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing various financial functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in our accounting processes. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and make significant contributions to the organization's financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close processes.

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance analysis, and financial reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance.

  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.

  • Coordinate and assist with annual audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements.

  • Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.

  • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional growth and development.

  • Stay updated on accounting regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.

  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as needed to support strategic decision-making.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with significant experience using Sage and NetSuite.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software tools.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and a proactive, results-oriented approach.
