Amazon Senior Transportation Manager, EU DEA in Luxembourg, Luxembourg

The EU Transportation team is looking for a Senior Transportation Manager who will be the single threaded end to end leader for customer Delivery Estimate Accuracy (DEA) for a given EU region / country. They are responsible to set the strategic vision, goals and establish improvement opportunities. They actively liaise with WW Senior Leaders to share synergies across regions and set the broader vision for DEA improvements. They have sound analytical skills which they leverage to control and manage DEA, analyze performance and improve the root cause analysis quality for European Fulfillment Network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up the overall strategic vision for DEA management for their country/region.

• Drive the thought leadership to leverage synergies across stakeholders from different countries for WW parity in DEA management.

• Help identify recurring patterns to help reduce DEA misses across buckets.

• Focus on robust processes with an emphasis on long term structural improvements versus short term scrappy fixes.

• Partner with tech leaders to define the roadmap and calibrate system settings, product improvements and ensure that the roadmap is converted into a project plan and follows up on granular milestones.

• Strongly Influence the development of reporting features and metric improvements

• Envision and lead end to end initiatives to improve overall DEA for the region/country, keeping a close eye on co-relation with other metrics like Speed, Cost, Carbon and Capacity.

Ensures appropriate DEA vs Speed trade-offs when implementing DEA protection measures.

Basic Qualifications

  • · Bachelor’s degree with quantitative/applied science focus

  • · Significant, relevant work experience in business analytics with demonstrated proficiency in quantitative analysis using SQL, databases, and Excel in a business environment. These strong data analysis skills should include an ability to invent new approaches and to explain their work clearly

  • · Ability to create and build new processes, and to manage a complex stakeholder environment

  • · Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • · Proven ability to manage projects with cross-functional stakeholders

  • · Independent problem solver that can make high quality judgments quickly

  • · Excellent written, verbal, listening, and negotiating skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • · Master’s degree

  • · Proven Project/Product Management experience in a related industry

  • · Experience turning ambiguous ideas into product features

  • · Advanced knowledge of SQL/Redshift, Python, QuickSight, AWS and/or other programming languages
