The Emergency Department at St. Anthony Hospital is a verified American College of Surgeons’ Level I Trauma Center. We are a Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center and a cardiac receiving center. We are a high-volume ED treating a variety of medical and cardiac conditions with 46 beds and approximately 58,000 visits per year. We are the home of Flight for Life® Colorado and surrounding areas bring around 1,000 patients from medical to trauma. We are a desirable department as we are the Premier Level I ED, Emergency Services Association Lantern Award recipient, providing exemplary care, ANCC equivalent of a Magnet, and we attract the best and brightest as an exemplary model department, recognized on national level of being the top one percent. Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Coordinator. In the role of RN Clinical Coordinator you will:

• Actively support department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit including shift charge, department and/or service line.

• Ensure that care is delivered to each patient in accordance with quality standards.

• Act as liaison between physicians and patient care team. Maintain communication and promote cooperation with unit staff and other departments. Supervise the staff; authorize work procedures and assign duties.

• Provides input and recommendations to the director/manager on coaching, mentoring and performance management of associates.

• Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.

• Personally, accountable for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

• Minimum 1-year recent clinical RN Emergency Room Experience

• Associates Degree in Nursing required

• BSN Strongly preferred

• Active unencumbered RN License to practice in state of employment as applicable, required

• Nursing Specialty Certification related to the specialty is strongly preferred

• ACLS and PALS required

• ENPC and TNCC required

• STABLE and NRP required or within 6 months of hire

• NIHSS required

• CEN strongly preferred

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
