Requisition Summary
The Kenworth General Accounting Manager leads a dynamic team with responsibility for the preparation of local financial results and supporting information leveraged in external reporting. Additionally, the general accounting team oversees Kenworth’s accounts payable and fixed asset functions.
Responsibilities
Coordinate monthly close process for Kenworth (journal entries, internal management reports, fixed asset analysis, balance sheet reviews and account reconciliations).
Leverage and drive adoption of new technologies including RPA data entry and BlackLine for account reconciliation / close management.
Manage day-to-day and month-end activities of the Division General Accounting team ensuring timely transaction processing and preparation of accurate financial statements.
Direct quarterly preparation of supplemental financial and operational information required by external reporting.
Support cross-functional business needs working as a business partner with all PACCAR Divisions to define and implement best practices.
Train, develop and retain a well-qualified staff of through recruitment, coaching and development activities.
Support internal and external audit requests.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
7+ years of relevant accounting experience, including supervisory responsibility
CPA / MBA strongly preferred
Solid understanding of US GAAP
SAP experience and strong computer skills (Excel, BlackLine, WDesk, Tableau etc.)
Strong organizational skills, including ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
Deadline-driven, self-motivated and customer service oriented
Strong leadership and supervisory skills, emphasizing continuous improvement
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills

At PACCAR, we value talent and promote growth and development. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for the General Accounting Manager is $110,600 - $173,000 annually. This position is also eligible for a holiday gift. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
