Description

We are looking for a Contract Paralegal to join our clients team located in Durango, Colorado. In this role, you will be tasked with a variety of legal and administrative duties, including preparing and reviewing legal documents, conducting legal research, and managing case files. This role offers a contract employment opportunity with variable hours.

Responsibilities:

• Copy, review, and organize legal documents for case preparation

• Prepare and manage deposition summaries and mediation summaries

• Handle administrative work including filing, scheduling, and correspondence

• Use legal software like LexisNexis, Case Management Software, and Adobe Acrobat for case management and legal research

• Use Microsoft Excel for data management and billing functions

• Handle complaints and claims administration

• Manage legal briefing and calendar management activities

• Gain civil litigation experience, including civil rights litigation

• Ensure the confidentiality and proper management of sensitive legal information.

Requirements • Applicant must possess a minimum of 2 years experience in a paralegal role or similar

• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat is essential

• Familiarity with Case Management Software is required

• Knowledge of LexisNexis is necessary

• Experience with different Management Systems is beneficial

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary

• Capability to handle Billing Functions is required

• Ability to perform Briefing tasks effectively

• Experience in Calendar Management is beneficial

• Competence in Claim Administration is necessary

• Experience in handling Complaints is required

• Civil Litigation experience is beneficial

• Experience in Civil Rights Litigation is preferable

• Civil Litigation Experience is advantageous
