Robert Half Senior Systems Engineer in Draper, Utah

Description We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our team in Draper, Utah. This role involves managing and maintaining the business and support solutions, ensuring their security, and improving the service continuously. The successful candidate will also play a crucial role in project delivery, infrastructure maintenance, and system support.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement system solutions that meet the needs of the business

• Ensure continuous service improvement and maintain the security of the infrastructure

• Provide Level 4 System Support and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)

• Configure, manage, and optimize infrastructure and security, including databases, end-point protection, email, proxy, and firewalls

• Maintain systems designs and knowledgebase documentation

• Support and perform ongoing maintenance of all Infrastructure-related systems, including databases, backups, and email

• Test all work thoroughly to ensure that systems are fully functional and meet the business needs

• Deliver high-quality integration services, including configuration of servers, workstations, internet, and networking equipment

• Understand and evaluate business needs, and contribute to the design and development of business solutions

• Identify infrastructure and application improvement opportunities and develop proposals for changes to be introduced

• Adhere to the internal customer service delivery platform, incorporating internal customer SLAs/KPIs together with regular feedback through service desk metrics

• Research and evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends which may be utilized by the company to enhance business services

• Regularly assess systems/services and processes to ensure they meet business expectations

• Comply with all policies and procedures dealing with systems and enhancements

• Act as a technical lead for Infrastructure projects

• Prepare business cases recommending specified solutions and detailing the rationale/benefits of each project and enhancement

• Work with the business to prioritize all assigned projects to realize the stated benefits while minimizing the risk of delay and unforeseen adverse outcomes via the change management process

• Conduct risk assessment and risk analysis on systems projects

• Strictly adhere to change management policies and Project/Software development frameworks. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the role of Systems Engineer or similar roles

• Proficient in Cisco Technologies, Citrix Technologies, and Dell Technologies

• Strong knowledge of Database management and Configuration Management

• Experience with EO/IR systems and AB Testing is crucial

• Proficiency in Active Directory and Backup Technologies

• Demonstrated expertise in Computer Hardware

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred

• Relevant certifications in system engineering will be an added advantage. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
