Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst in Columbia, South Carolina. The Sr. Financial Analyst will provide financial insight and analytical expertise to the company's Supply Chain Operations team. The Sr. Financial Analyst will have responsibility for reporting and analyzing the company's manufacturing, distribution and transportation expenses, will assist in calculating and tracking monthly productivity savings, variance analysis, month-end reporting, and managing their global capital spend. Ideal candidates will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, have a strong analytical background, exceptional critical thinking skills, and a solid understanding of financial concepts and forecasting techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets. Analyze historical data, market trends, and operational metrics to support the creation of accurate financial projections and strategic plans.

  • Monitor and analyze key financial and operational performance indicators, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management, providing insightful commentary and recommendations.

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and semi-annual forecasts. Support variance analysis between actual results and budgeted/forecasted/prior year figures, identifying areas of improvement and cost-saving opportunities.

  • Perform detailed cost analysis, evaluating spending patterns, identifying cost drivers, and proposing cost optimization strategies. Conduct scenario analysis to assess the financial impact of potential business initiatives.

  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and automation within the FP& A function. Develop and implement best practices to streamline financial planning and reporting processes, increasing efficiency and accuracy.

    Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 2+ years of accounting/finance experience in a large company

  • Supply Chain operations and costing experience strongly preferred

  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and data analysis tools.

  • Advanced knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial statements.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
