Par Government Systems Corporation Satellite Communications Telecom Maintenance Coordinator in Chesapeake, Virginia
The Teleport Maintenance Coordinator supervises preventative and corrective maintenance on satellite communications and facility equipment at a DoD Satellite Communications Facility.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Utilize the U.S. Navy 3M program to assign and track all preventative maintenance
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance satellite communication systems
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facilities equipment
Conduct building maintenance, inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs
Provide coordination and assistance for system installations
Coordinate with system vendors for depot level repairs and maintenance
Maintain accurate inventory of all facility locks and keys
Be available to provide assistance outside of normal working hours
Required Skills
Valid Driver’s License with good driving history
Extensive knowledge of the U.S. Navy 3M program
Extensive knowledge of the U.S. Navy Tagout/Lockout program
Must be familiar with the U.S. Navy TMDE program
Must be familiar with NAVOSH and OSHA regulations
Working knowledge of generators and uninterruptable power systems
Working knowledge of HVAC, boilers, and cooling systems
Able to obtain certification to operate fork lifts and boom lifts
Able to stand and walk for extended periods
Able to climb and work at various heights on antenna structures
Able to work outdoors in inclement weather
Able to lift and carry 50 pounds
Knowledge of U.S. Navy KMI system preferred
Required Experience
Military satellite communications SHF or EHF maintenance course or equivalent accredited college/commercial education required
5 years’ experience in satellite communications equipment operations and maintenance required
High School Diploma or GED required
Must have an active or in-scope DoD Secret clearance or higher
Must have CompTIA A+ or equivalently accepted certification
