The Senior Accountant will offer financial leadership to a manufacturing facility. This position will be highly visible within the organization and reporting directly to the Plant Controller. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for accuracy of the manufacturing costs, monthly closings and reporting, and forecasts vs actual variance reporting. Additionally, this role will directly partner with plant and department leaders, providing financial analytics and will have financial ownership of plant related projects.

Responsabilities

  • Responsible for producing the monthly financial accounting package (within the Corporate published deadlines), including manufacturing KPI’s according to US GAAP rules

  • Perform Balance sheet and P&L analysis, monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations including Payroll, Inventory, accruals & VAT and post the associated journals

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts throughout the year, ability to work cross functionally with department heads and non-financial leaders in the organization

  • Item/Cost Maintenance for Bills of Material and Routings and assisting in the annual std cost update process

  • Work order closing and analyze daily inventory transactions; explain manufacturing variances by reviewing work orders, and work with production supervisors to understand manufacturing yield

  • Assist in the physical inventory count process/ aid in development and implementation of cycle count process

  • Preparation of E&O provision using good judgment

  • Liaising with BPO on AP, AR, Cash Mgt, Interco, SOX and Fixed Assets transactions

  • Review Internal Control procedures (for SOX compliance) and assist with internal and external audits

  • First point of contact for the external auditors, prepare the local Statutory accounts and assist in the preparation of the annual Corporation Tax computations.

  • Other duties as requested

Requirements

  • A qualified accountant with at least 3 years post qualification experience

  • A good knowledge of SOX and US GAAP

  • A good systems background in Oracle would be advantageous

  • MS Office Suite – Advance Level

  • Good interpersonal skills with experience of working in a diverse environment

  • Fluent in both French and English
