Cardinal Health Engineer, Procure to Pay in Carson City, Nevada
The Engineer position will be responsible for implementing and supporting build and run support activities in the Sourcing & Manufacturing area. The candidate should possess strong interpersonal, and leadership skills. The ideal candidate is an individual with customer focused mindset, hands-on skills, positive work ethic and a collaborative mindset who is willing to adapt to evolving business needs.
Responsible for understanding Procure-to-Pay business processes in the Medical Segment, as well as understanding the application landscape and capabilities. Maintain relationships with the business and leverage requirements engineering practices and methods to enable improved business processes to drive business success. Align business strategies and capability needs into business and technical requirements to ensure IT systems enable the desired value.
What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health
Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.
Responsibilities
The IT Medical Sourcing & Manufacturing team is responsible for managing the IT systems and processes, that support Sourcing & Manufacturing functions.
Provide business analysis support in the sourcing area
Designing and prototyping, testing, training, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
Own solution design including high level and detailed design specifications.
Development of solutions that are innovative and consistent with organization objectives.
Maintains project portfolio, prioritizes project and enhancement requests and supports business case development.
Interpret business requirements and produce business process models that support objectives.
Project status communication to stakeholders.
Plan and execute functional, integration and regression tests - including test case and test plan development, defect logging and resolution.
Manages the relationship between business and IT teams.
Drive and ability to learn new technologies & platforms.
Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects
May contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Works on complex projects of large scope
Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives
Completes work; independently receives general guidance on new projects
Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives
May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues
Qualifications
4-8 years of experience in ERP Procure-to-Pay, preferably SAP preferred
BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field preferred
Experience in ERP Manufacturing is a plus, preferably SAP
Experience in other sourcing functions is a plus (Spend Analytics, Vendor Master Data, etc.)
SQL experience preferred, BigQuery experience is a plus
Good understanding of Compliance
Experience in regulated medical environments is a plus
Experience in writing technical documents, detailed system processes and data flows.
Strong knowledge of software development life cycle process - from requirements definition, analysis, design, programming, and testing, through implementation.
Experience in Microsoft productivity tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint preferred
Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, organizational and planning skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills, must convey thoughts and ideas simply and concisely
Anticipated salary range: $92,100.00 - 131,600.00
