Summary The National Intelligence University (NIU) is the Intelligence Community's sole accredited, federal degree-granting institution. It serves as the intellectual hub for the intelligence profession, preparing today's leaders for tomorrow's challenges. Teaches core and elective courses in the NIU degree program, with guidance, as applicable, with Program Directors, faculty colleagues, and the Dean. Teaches all-source intelligence disciplines, strengths, and weaknesses of specific analytic collection and reporting programs. Gathers information for research on specific intelligence areas of concerns. Teaches the intelligence process from collection to dissemination with full understanding of intelligence report formats and terminology. Understands capabilities and limitations of intelligence collection and analytic methods. Develops of a rich learning environment through Blackboard instructional technology. Participates as needed in the University activities through The Center for Strategic Intelligence Research. Participates fully in University governance, represents the University at DoD, IC, community or agency meetings, conferences and symposia. Maintains active liaison with government and private sector civilian, military, educational individuals associated with intelligence. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a current permanent ODNI employee. OR Must be a current permanent Federal employee. Must have supervisory approval to apply to the Joint Duty Assignment. Must be currently at the grade level of the detail. No Temporary Promotion Opportunity The program does not apply to members of the Military service or contractors. Qualifications Mandatory Requirements: Extensive knowledge in area of subject matter expertise. Areas include: Cyber Intelligence, Data Science, Emerging Technology (e.g., Artificial Intelligence), Counterintelligence, Leadership and Management, Ethics SME, and Counterproliferation. Regional (e.g., China, Russia/Europe/Eurasia, Middle East/North Africa, Latin America, Africa, Southeast Asia, East Asia, Iran, and North Korea Strategic Warning, Terrorism, Irregular Warfare, Transnational Issues (e.g., Climate, Intelligence Analysis, Financial Intelligence, Heath Sciences (e.g., Pandemics), and Space SME. Excellent critical thinking skills. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information in a clear, concise manner that is targeted to, and meets the needs of, diverse audiences with different perspectives and objectives. Demonstrated ability to execute senior-level guidance in a fast-paced environment and ability to translate strategic goals into specific objectives with appropriate metrics and methods to track progress towards meeting those goals. Interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team or collaborative environment; initiative in carrying out mission responsibilities based on supervisor guidance. Demonstrated ability to anticipate problems and obstacles associated with moderately complex projects and proactively develop creative solutions to address them prior to implementation. Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills and initiative in carrying out responsibilities. Extensive knowledge in managing complex activities and initiatives, employing good judgment and principles. Master's Degree. Education Master's Degree. Salary Determination: A current Federal Government employee, selected for a detail, will be assigned to the position at their current grade and salary.
