Google Technical Program Manager, Geo Data Operations in Bengaluru, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 1 year of experience in program/project management, business operations, or supply chain/operations.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in solving machine learning or artificial intelligence challenges involving data analytics and statistics.

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally in an ambiguous environment across all levels.

  • Ability to assess data quality problems, identify solutions, contribute to shaping technical directions in fast-changing environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.

The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.

  • Collaborate with Engineering teams, and manage cross-functional relationships across Engineering, Operations, and Geo Data Operations.

  • Identify processes, infrastructure, and tooling requirements to scale Machine Learning services and grow engagement.

  • Develop and deliver Machine Learning projects from conception to implementation.

  • Build scalable and intelligent solutions to produce data that forms the center of Google Maps’ consumer and enterprise user needs.
