This role would be a part of a dynamic and collaborative Network Automation team at Nutanix. The team is responsible for automating network operations across office and datacenter environments. They work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve network issues, develop automation scripts, integrate network tools, and enhance network performance through Software Defined Networking (SDN). The team fosters knowledge sharing, actively participates in agile meetings, and collaborates to achieve shared objectives. This team values proficiency in automation tools, network technology expertise, troubleshooting skills, and SDN experience. They strive for operational continuity and efficiency through automation and teamwork.

Your Role

• Collaborate in automating network operations across office and datacenter environments

• Develop and manage automation scripts and workflows to streamline processes

• Apply expertise in Software Defined Networking (SDN) environments

• Enhance network performance and improve metrics collections and analytics

• Integrate network automation solutions with critical tools

• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations and troubleshooting procedures

• Contribute insights and collaborate effectively with team members

What You Will Bring

• Proficiency in Python, REST API, Ansible, and GIT are very important, but we also value experience with Django, Terraform, PyTest, Nornir, Jinja, TextFSM, REST/NetConf, or Yang.

• Strong grasp of routing, switching, VPN, wireless, and Palo Alto firewalls

• Hands-on experience with SDN environments

• Comfortable navigating the Linux command line

• Familiarity with network documentation tools (e.g. Netbox)

• Experience with monitoring systems (e.g. SolarWinds)

• Experience with IDD systems (e.g. Infoblox)

• Proven troubleshooting abilities in network problem-solving
