ROLE PROFILE

Job Title: Benefits Lead – Reward Operations

Level: L5B Reports To: Global Reward Operations Manager

Context/Scope:

Global HR Operations is Diageo’s HR Shared Service and has service centres (first point) based in Budapest, Bangalore and Manila that support all markets. It also has a central Reward Operations team based in London that supports the Global Annual Reward Cycle (ARC) and some other Global Reward Processes including the Sales Incentive Plan bonus calculations, Salary Benchmarking and Salary Survey Submissions. In addition, GRO team supports respective benefit processes (ie.: product allowance, car allowance) for Europe markets (NE, SE, WE, EE), the UK and Ireland. The Benefits Lead will drive the definition/scoping, documentation and improvement of the online and offline benefit processes and create the condition for a successful annual benefit enrolment for the entire population of Europe, UK and Ireland.

Interact with employees, Reward Managers, HRBPs, Payroll, Fleet, Process Governance, Data, Finance & Tax Teams Technical operation lead of Benefits Case Specialists and lead the project management of the Benefits Enrolments. Responsible and drive a process improvement and simplification agenda for Benefits processes and technologies. Responsible for managing the daily operation for the Benefits Case Specialists Deputise for the Global Reward Operations Manager

Purpose of Role

The purpose of this role is to:

Lead the technical operation of the Benefits Team

• Guides and supports Benefits team to scope out, document and improve respective benefit processes (ie.: product allowance, car allowance) across Europe, ROI & UK

• Review and update procedures in line with new legislation and regulatory requirements

Top 3-5 Accountabilities

• Respective benefits processes (ie.: product allowance, car allowance) are mapped and properly documented in all online / offline sources (where applicable) and are clearly understood by employees resulting in improved employee experience with benefit processes

• Leverages insights and looks for opportunities to raise suggested changes to processes and ways of working

• Ensure all Steps Maps, WI’s, Benefits matrices, Benefit Guides, Factsheets and FAQs are reviewed and kept up to date on a regular basis and made available to appropriate teams conducting training where necessary and ensuring consistency and accuracy of all communications materials by the Benefits Case Specialists

• Ensure all CARM controls and data reconciliations are carried out and issues resolved

People Management

Help to build and lead a high performing and highly engaged Benefits team under the direction of GRO manager

• Support the development of the right capabilities to ensure that they demonstrate continued growth and great performance.

• Identify benefits capability gaps within the entire First Point team and develop appropriate development interventions to enhance the customer experience.

• Work in close partnership with the Global Reward Operations Manager to further standardise benefits processes and policies

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • A good understanding of best practice HR processes, benfits, Payroll & data Strong analytical/numerate and problem-solving skills Methodical, logical, organised, and flexible approach to work

  • People Management Experience 1-3 years is a must

  • High level of attention to detail -Experience of employee benefit administration Experience of Workday MS Excel Skills

  • Experience of working with sophisticated/large volumes of data

  • Experience of extracting and manipulating data from different data sources and balancing that data

  • Excellent communication, influencing & stakeholder leadership skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, prioritise own workload and take ownership of problems

Barriers to Success in Role

  • Ineffective stakeholder engagement and management of key relationships. Ineffective interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.

  • Ineffective planning and prioritisation of activities.

  • Lack of Workday, SAP HR, or Excel experience.

  • Lack of analytical, interpretive, and decision-making skills.

  • Lack of attention to detail.
