Responsibility:

• Understand engineering teams requests and establish scope of activities to deliver material and services from outside suppliers i.e. engineering samples, prototypes, test fixtures, raw materials, testing / inspection services etc.)

• Understand and evaluate supplier capabilities for material supply / testing / prototype building.

• Co-ordinate with engineering team to draft the material requirement document or Quote requests.

• Raise purchase requests as per quotations and work with buyer / supply chain team for negotiation.

• Follow up to get the purchase orders released.

• Work with cross functional teams including engineering, operations, logistics, finance, supply chain and accounting for smooth procurement and timely payments.

• Record keeping and storing materials appropriately in consultation with stakeholder i.e. shipping, material entry, gate pass and invoice submissions etc.

• Support external logistics activities such as shipping, material clearances, eway bills etc. working with TE internal / external teams

• Work with local and global external agencies / suppliers for samples, prototypes and testing needs.

• Collect, plan and organize lab procurement plan IS BU Engineering teams based in Bangalore office

• Plan and co-ordinate AMC, calibration, repairs and breakdown activities for various equipment.

• Supplier identification and addition to TE as required for various activity support working with TE internal resources and departments.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Hands on expertise in SAP for material procurement, material management and record keeping.

• Initiating PR/PO activities and follow up on requests working with buyer

• Good knowledge on Custom Clearance /GRN/Invoicing and RFQ.

• Timely communication and co-ordination to the requestors on testing and samples with Vendor.

• Basic understanding of 5S management.

• Good learning agility / passion to explore.

• Good communication and presentation skills

• Should be Self-Motivated, Adaptive, Passionate about results and a Good Team Player

• Strong Interpersonal & stake holder management skill

• Demonstrated Experience of working in a fast paced and changing environment with tight deadlines

• Willingness to Travel to suppliers as required.

• Work with plant and maintenance team to co-ordinate material movement

Qualification & Experience:

• Any Degree / Diploma with similar roles in corporates / multinational companies

• 3+ years of relevant experience in logistics / materials management with multi skills
