How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

This position will be responsible for supporting Delta’s third-party Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) business by developing detailed risk analyses, analyzing maintenance program performance, and creating consolidated financial reporting regarding contract fulfillment. The successful candidate will have a continuous improvement mindset with a focus on driving excellent financial and operational performance in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

As part of this role, you will lead your team in providing FP&A financial consolidation for the MRO business and support the contract fulfillment process by reporting performance relative to business cases. Conduct and lead periodic performance reviews of the MRO’s long-term PBH and PBC programs and identifying opportunities to improve financial / operational performance. Generate long-term financial forecasts based on the Business Development team’s sales outlook, operational KPIs from Engine Maintenance, and other inputs from cross-function stakeholders. Prepare and present business updates / strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

This position will develop, implement, and maintain activity base costing processes, and tools to assess financial performance and understand maintenance cost drivers. You’ll interact daily with the Commercial team, product team and develop relationships to maximize results.

Additionally, you’ll develop strategic and tactical plans that create a safety conscious environment which result in employee safety and well-being.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Strong finance, communication, and FP&A related skills.

  • Excellent time management, detail orientation, and interpersonal relationship skills.

  • Robust analytical ability, the capability to deliver results, and excellent organization.

  • A track record for motivating and managing team members through multiple contiguous tasks.

  • You’ll need to be able to engage the business in a manner that enhances productivity and encourages operational transformation toward optimal cost efficiency.

  • An ability to interact with all levels of management.

  • Must possess the ability to present complex material in a concise but comprehensive manner.

  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related field is preferred.

  • MBA highly preferred.

  • Five or more years of related experience and experience in leadership role highly preferred.

  • Successful candidate will be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Salesforce, SAP, Hyperion, SAP Analysis for Office, Tableau, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
