Amazon Program Manager, Global Amazon Customs & Trade in Arlington, Virginia

Description

The Customs & Trade (C&T) program is an ongoing effort to achieve an outcome: establish Amazon Customs & Trade as the best customs broker and trade services offering in the world. The program is a collection of projects across a body of customers and uses designed to deliver innovative solutions for cross-border government clearances of the billions of packages, shipments, containers moving across the Amazon system globally on a daily basis.

Key job responsibilities

The Program Manager will provided end-to-end project, program and portfolio management for ACT projects and will track and coordinate adoption and execution of C&T solutions by first-party and third-party customs brokerage and trade solutions providers. They will assess, measure, and report on ACT adoption, execution, goals, roadmap, and other indicators of performance. The Program Manager will focus on Program and Project Planning and Strategy, Stakeholder Management, Program Execution and Monitoring, Resource Capacity Management, Risk and Issue Management, Quality Assurance and Evaluation, Reporting and Communication, and Continuous Improvement.

On a per-project/program basis, they will establish, record, track and establish a cadence of reporting on status, progress, blockers, paths forward. The Program Manager will work closely with stakeholders, teams, and resources to ensure that objectives are met within specified timelines and budget constraints.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

  • Bachelor's degree

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
