The Job's Mission

Reporting to the Business Unit Manager of the Spine division in Spain, the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the management of the sales district, the leadership of employees, including indirect channels, as well as sales/turnover, so that optimized customer service and acquisition of new customers is guaranteed.

What you will do:

  • You will directly lead an internal team and have responsibility for managing our indirect sales channels.

  • You will develop highly talented members of your team and play a key role in identifying & bringing new talent into the business.

  • You will be responsible for the continued excellent performance of the Team and guide the team towards exceeding all applicable KPI's & targets.

  • Your problem-solving ability will be utilized every day, working with your teams to analyze and resolve any issues that arise.

  • You and your team are the privileged interlocutors of all decision-makers in healthcare establishments (hospitals / clinics) concerning the purchase and use of: Stryker's Spine products.

  • You will accompany important price negotiations, contract conclusions, as well as larger product workshops together with your sales team.

  • You will build up a network with important key customers, decision-makers, and key opinion leaders.

  • You will understand and utilize market dynamics to support business acceleration.

  • You will take a creative approach to new business development for both current and future technologies.

  • You will control all resources and materials in the related sales area.

  • You will optimize the resources and responsibility for the running of a profitable business in the area.

  • Customer care for (managerial) physicians, surgical/theatre staff and hospital administration with the goal of achieving qualitative and sales-oriented consultation.

  • You will supervise the proper segregation of waste in your department.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of Marketing or sales experience in the Medical Devices industry

  • Diploma or Degree in related field (MBA or Higher Education preferable)

  • Experience in working with indirect channels

  • Previous experience with orthopedic implants, ideally Spine products

  • Knowledge of Medical Device environment & Medical Device regulations

  • Excellent communication skills with proficiency in spoken and written Spanish (Native or C2) and English (ideally C1, minimum B2)

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communications skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines

  • Ability to be persuasive in the absence of organizational authority

  • Must be able to understand and work within complex interdivisional procedures and policies
