In this role, you will drive valuable analytics and influence decision-making within with the cross-functional team to achieve our business goals. You will report to the Senior Finance Manager, Beauty & Personal Care and you will based out of our Toronto - HQ located at 160 Bloor St. E. in Toronto.

What You'll Do

Financial Analytics to Accelerate Growth and Profitability

  • Drive insightful, fact-based decision-making through objective analysis and knowledge of our consumers and customers within our broad cross-functional team

  • Provide an unbiased view of business risks and opportunities and evaluate trade-offs considering both short and long-term business targets

  • Lead development of robust innovation business cases to accelerate profitability growth through evaluating alternatives, important assumptions and ensure plans are re-aligned with relevant strategies

Make recommendations and influence senior partners

  • Review performance vs plans and understand variances to ensure appropriate actionable to further accelerate results or address issues

Other / Ad-Hoc

  • Undertake special and ad-hoc projects to improve portfolio assortment, pricing and promotional strategies or profitability

  • Lead financial assessment and/or integration of our brand acquisitions as well as evaluation of brand exits

  • Implement continuous improvement principles and simplification initiatives to improve financial/business processes while ensuring the integrity of financial data

What You'll Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, MBA would be considered an asset

  • You are working towards or holding a completed Accounting Designation (CA / CMA / CGA).

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience

  • Microsoft office Required, Advanced Excel Required

  • Prior experience supporting marketing or sales function from a finance perspective in consumer packaged goods is an asset

  • Prior experience in CPG is an asset

  • Experience using SAP and/or financial planning systems would be an asset

  • Business partnering experience with clear, focused and sound financial assessment and mentorship (strategic insights, risks, and opportunities)

  • Developing strong relationships across a multitude of business partners

  • Results-oriented through proven initiative and drive

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Very strong analytical ability and excellent time management skills

  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles and technical proficiency
