Background & Purpose of the Job

The 3PM logistics team focuses on process excellence and best practices within Unilever 3PM Factory Logistics. The role is responsible for inventory management activities at co-manufacturers and repackers in North America consisting of inventory transactions, adjustments, physical inventories, reporting of production/shipments and monitoring processes in addition to resolving invoices. Will be key to identify factory logistics opportunities to improve inbound/outbound shipping costs and strategies and business waste with clear engagement with 3PM procurement team.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do

As a specialist, you will be responsible for inventory management activities at co-manufacturers and repackers in North America consisting of inventory transactions, adjustments, physical inventories, reporting of production/shipments and monitoring processes in addition to resolving invoices. Will be key to identify factory logistics opportunities to improve inbound/outbound shipping costs and strategies and business waste with clear engagement with 3PM procurement team.

You’re a strategy guru: You will perform Outbound logistics strategy (truckload utilization, direct ship, on time improvement, accessorial reduction). Inbound logistics strategy (aligned with 3pm to drive contractual partnership) You will perform Outbound logistics strategy (truckload utilization, direct ship, on time improvement, accessorial reduction). What You’ll Need To Succeed

A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in required for consideration. It is preferred that you have at least 2 years of experience in Logistics, Planning, or Manufacturing Operations. You will need to be a results-oriented, innovative think with a focus on continuous improvement. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary to effectively interact with all levels of management. You will need the ability to work in a challenging business environment, demonstrating flexibility by managing numerous priorities concurrently. Finally, you will need advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.
